What Sets GreenTech Communities Apart From Other Builders

Emily Barry
Director of Sales & Marketing

Plenty of builders offer custom homes across the country. What sets us apart isn't any single feature, it's how deliberately we build, from the materials in the walls to the way a street curves toward a park.

We got our start in 2008 in downtown Chattanooga, where we played a part in the renaissance of Southside and the Jefferson Heights Park area. Almost two decades later, our mission hasn't changed: thoughtfully designed homes at prices that let more people enjoy a high standard of living here in Southeast Tennessee.

That mission comes down to specifics. Here's what actually makes the difference.

Build Quality You Can Feel

Build quality is one of our biggest differentiators as a builder. We favor globally sourced, custom finishes over builder-grade, big-box packages, and we back that choice with warranties that mean something:

  • 10-year structural warranty
  • 2-year systems warranty covering HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
  • 1-year craftsmanship warranty

Our pricing is upfront, so the price you see reflects the complete home, including the selected finishes. We stage many of our homes to help buyers visualize the space, but the furniture and décor shown in our model and staged homes are not included with the purchase. If you'd like, a refrigerator, washer, and dryer can be added to your home at the time of contract.

That quality hasn't gone unnoticed. The Chattanooga Home Builders Association has officially recognized our work, and we hold a GuildQuality award with a 91% satisfaction rating drawn from independent buyer surveys.

Communities Designed for Connection

We believe a home is only as good as the place it sits in, which is why we design entire communities around wellness, active living, and connection instead of just filling in lots one at a time.

In a GreenTech community, that shows up as green space, parks, dog-walking areas, walking trails, and tree-lined streets — the kind of details that turn a neighborhood into somewhere people actually gather.

A few examples:

  • Heritage Walk in East Brainerd puts you steps from Heritage Park, with a resort-style pool, pavilion, lamp-lit sidewalks, and miles of greenway and bike paths.
  • The Farmstead in Hixson offers a clubhouse with a fitness center, resort-style pool, botanical green spaces, and a half basketball court. The community will also feature pickleball courts and additional recreational amenities designed for active living.
  • Nature's Cove in Ooltewah follows the bends of Wolftever Creek, with tree-lined trails and planned pickleball courts, along with additional resort-style amenities designed around outdoor recreation and connection.
  • Storyvale near Lakesite is built around Wisteria Greenway and Storyvale Fields, with exceptional walkability throughout. The community also features an activity lawn, fire pits, a dog park, and other spaces designed for gathering and outdoor recreation.

You can explore our full portfolio of communities on our website.

What GreenTech Homes Is Known For

For us, green isn't a marketing label, it's a commitment to using fewer resources and saving you money on utilities for as long as you own the home.

Most of our homes include airtight ducts, insulated slabs, solar-rated attic decking, and insulated garage doors, all working together to make your HVAC system run more efficiently. Every material and system we use meets current California Air Resources Board (CARB) emissions standards, and we reach for renewable materials wherever we can.

What It's Like to Buy With Us

Buying in our communities looks a little different from a typical home purchase:

  1. Initial meeting. You’ll sit down with a community representative to talk through which neighborhood fits you best, review home site costs and pricing, and walk through model homes and floor plans.
  2. Design and architectural phase. Next, you'll work with one of our team members to choose from 20 floor plans and more than 30 architectural variations per plan, so your home can feel genuinely your own. Our online planning tool lets you browse options and pricing as you go.
  3. Interior design selection. In our on-site design studio, a dedicated design consultant will walk you through every flooring, countertop, cabinetry, and lighting option, so you can see and feel the quality for yourself.
  4. Construction and financing. Most homes take about 6.5 months from contract to completion. We handle construction financing ourselves, so there's no separate loan to manage, and we offer flexible deposit and down payment options through our preferred lender network.

See It For Yourself

Photos and floor plans can only tell you so much. We always encourage buyers to visit their community in person and walk through a model home to get a real feel for what's waiting for them.

Browse our communities, explore the move-in ready homes available now, or schedule a guided tour with a community representative. We're happy to talk through timelines and pricing whenever you're ready.
